Bruny Island Community Association (BICA) is a not-for-profit community organisation established by the late John Dillion, former (and last) Mayor of the Bruny Island Municipality over 40 years ago to provide a voice and platform for the Bruny Island Community.

Today, BICA provides a platform for a multitude of organisations, businesses and individuals to ensure Bruny Island’s unique lifestyle is maintained, together with ensuring the environmental, infrastructure, economic and social issues are addressed. BICA is also a consultative group providing advice to the Kingborough Council on local issues.

BICA’s main revenue steam is the monthly Bruny News, with over 500 editions created, and has a print run of around 500 copies per month and is supported by local businesses and community organisations.
